The Twin River Mining District is located in the Toiyabe Range and extends from Ophir Canyon in the north to the Jett District in the south. According a report on the area, the "district was discovered in 1866", and "located on the river there are extensive workings and the ruins of a old stamp mill". "Nothing is known about the area other than it was last worked in the 1920's".
  The old road to the mining camp in now in wilderness, so that means you have to get up off your butt and hike to get to this place. There are many river crossings so your feet are gonna get wet.
