Waucoba Mining District, Saline Valley, California

Warning! Exploring old mines can be very dangerous, so always send the wife and kids in first!

The present northern road into Saline Valley was originally a wagon road built to access the mines of the Waucoba Mining District. The road was built by the Waucoba Mining and Smelting Company back in 1873 and is still maintained by Inyo County.

The mines were short lived and were completely deserted once the miners caught wind of the fact  that there were naked babes just down the road at the Hot Springs.

Let's explore the Waucoba Mining District
